INFECTIOUS DISEASE
Keeping A Close Eye On
Antibiotic Usage
We have launched an infectious disease program focused on antibiotic stewardship to minimize rehospitalization and improve the quality of life for individuals suffering from acute and chronic infections.
Implementing antibiotic stewardship in other healthcare settings has not only increased overall patient management but also significantly reduced antibiotic use by more than 20%, providing a reassuring sign of its success.
Led by noted infectious disease specialist Dr. Slim, our nursing staff addresses our residents’ concerns with an individualized approach that not only helps them achieve their maximum level of independence but also instills a sense of optimism in their recovery.
Program highlights:
- Early Detection & Treatment for Residents Exhibiting Signs & Symptoms of Infection
- Evaluating & Limiting the Use of Antibiotics when appropriate
- Nursing Education regarding Infection Control, Prevention & Treatment
